John Wiley
John A. Wiley, is the President and Co-Founder of The GROW (Ghettos Rising Over the World) Foundation serving disadvantaged youth in Southwest Michigan. As a young man he realized the importance of giving back to his community and has continued to stay involved with people who contribute to social change for the better. A native of Battle Creek, MI John continued his education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Temple in 2006 with a bachelor of Business Administration concentration in Legal Studies and Marketing. While at Temple he was involved in several organizations that serviced the community and helped him to form lasting relationships with people and companies. He presently serves as the Residential Counselor for the Maya Angelou Public Charter School in Washington DC and Consultant/Ella Baker Trainer to the Children Defense Fund Freedom Schools literacy enrichment program. In the future John hopes to continue to blaze a trail for others to be inspired by and follow.
