Courtney Glass
Courtney Glass, a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, most recently served as an attorney with Harris Jones & Malone, LLC, where her primarily practice was government relations.
Since 2007, Ms. Glass has developed a broad background In policy and legislation through her experiences within the Maryland General Assembly and as a law clerk to a Prince George’s County solo practitioner.
Ms. Glass began her career in government service in 2001, interning with former Delegate Rushern Baker during his tenure as Chair of the Prince George’s County Delegation. During the 2007 session of the Maryland General Assembly, she had the honor of interning with Delegate Jolene Ivey and Delegate Doyle Niemann. Seeking to broaden her political experience, Ms. Glass spent the summer of 2007 as a legal intern for former Congressman Albert Wynn, where she experienced federal government first hand. In 2008, Ms. Glass returned to state government, taking her post as legislative aide to Delegate Jolene Ivey and Delegate Jay Walker. During the 2009 session of the Maryland General Assembly, she had the unique opportunity to serve as legislative director for the Prince George’s County Senate Delegation under Chairman Senator C. Anthony Muse, expanding her connections to both chambers of the state legislature. She worked with Delegate Kriselda Valderamma as a legislative aide during the summer of 2009.
Ms. Glass’ experience has allowed her to gain a wealth of knowledge about the intricate workings of the legislative process in the Maryland General Assembly. She has experience with a variety of policy areas and helped craft legislation that is now law. Further, Ms. Glass has forged lasting relationships with agency representatives, county officials, legislators and their respective staff. Finally, she has significant campaign experience having worked on Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley’s 2010 re-election campaign, County Executive Rushern Baker’s 2010 election campaign, County Councilwoman Ingrid Turner’s two most recent County Council campaigns, and a host of other local campaigns.
Ms. Glass received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore, School of Law in 2008. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Spelman College in 2004. She has been licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland since 2010.
